Out of community, sparks innovation. The Block started as a small 4 reformer studio, serving up pilates in Central 9th neighborhood. For two years we have been working with our community to bring you pop up events, writing clubs, and workshops. Creating real friendships with those we serve has always been our dream. As our community strengthened, we quickly outgrew our tiny studio and talk of expansion began. Since money doesn’t grow on trees, we had to be creative with what steady expansion would look like.

-just like that, a star was born.

We are happy to announce our residency with CAROUSEL, whose founders are long time attendees and supporters of The Block. This is an exceptionally special collaboration as it is rooted in friendship, collaboration and true innovation.
